A NOTE FROM JESSICA SETY, DIRECTOR OF LITTLE WOMEN

There are only 11 acting roles in this play, but many opportunities to get experience behind the scenes. There is only one role available for younger actors (female- 6th-7th) and possibly 2 roles for younger actors (male 6th-7th) depending on the ages of the 4 little women cast. PLEASE prepare your student to answer if they will accept a NON-ACTING ROLE. There is a section on the registration forms where the student can circle any/all technical theatre jobs that might excite them. If they only want an acting role and are not cast this summer, that is ok, too! They just need to mark that they will only accept an acting role. Not everyone will always be cast - and they can try again next year. There will be plenty for the students to do if they accept a technical role - including helping (and acting) in Janet’s Summer Theatre School the first week of Little Women rehearsals.
