Volunteering at the Chewelah Center for the Arts is a great way to be part of our community, meet fellow arts lovers, and help make live theater possible. Whether you have a few hours to spare or want to get involved regularly, we have opportunities for everyone. No experience is necessary — just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to pitch in!
As a volunteer, you might be helping with set building, stage preparation, facility maintenance, decorating, ticket sales, or front-of-house operations during shows. Every contribution helps ensure our productions are successful and our Center remains a welcoming place for all.

- Ticket sales and check-in
- Seating guests
- Helping with concessions
- Ensuring patrons have a safe and enjoyable experience
Pre-show Prep Crew
Help get everything ready for show night! Duties can include:
- Setting up the lobby and auditorium
- Assisting with stage preparations
Groundskeeping
Keep the theater grounds beautiful and welcoming. Volunteers help with:
- Lawn and garden maintenance
- Trash and recycling management
- Outdoor cleanup before and after events
Decorating Team
Add the finishing touches that make our theater sparkle! This team:
- Designs and sets up seasonal or themed decorations
- Creates lobby displays and signage
- Assists with special event décor
