Auditioning? What You Need to Know
Whether you’re an adult, teen, or kid, the best way to prepare for auditions at the Chewelah Center for the Arts is to come ready to be yourself, have fun, and show enthusiasm for performing. Directors aren’t just looking for talent—they’re looking for energy, personality, and a willingness to learn and work as a team. Practice your lines or song ahead of time, dress comfortably, and remember that confidence grows from preparation. Even if you don’t get the part you wanted, every audition is a chance to grow, meet new friends, and become part of our creative community—so take a deep breath, smile, and let your love of theater shine!

Come play your part in Chewelah’s favorite summer theater tradition—Shakespeare-On-The-Green!
Escape to the Forest of Arden, where love, laughter, and mistaken identities abound in one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies. As You Like It follows Rosalind, Orlando, and a colorful cast of characters as they discover that all the world truly is a stage. This outdoor summer production welcomes kids, teens, and adults—no Shakespeare experience required! Come join the fun, and be part of a community tradition that brings the Bard to life under the Summer sun!
Casting for three lead males (16-30), three lead females (16-30), 1 male lead (any age) and 1 female lead (any age). Many more on-stage & off-stage positions available for ages 9 - 100.

Step aboard for a dazzling adventure at sea, where magic, mischief, and starstuff collide! Join a brave young girl, a band of clever orphans, and the legendary Peter Pan in a tale of pirates, flying cats, and enchanted treasures. From storm-tossed ships to secret islands, our heroes face danger, discover friendship, and uncover the origins of a boy who would never grow up. Bursting with humor, heart, and breathtaking spectacle, this is a story where imagination reigns supreme—and everyone has a role to play. This conservatory is open only to teens who have participated in at least one previous StageTime Theatre School production.
