Thomas (Tom) Bristol, Architect

Thomas Bristol, AIA, architect, is the owner of a small Architectural firm in Chewelah, WA., Purple Flat Top Ltd. Architecture. Purple Flat Top refers to a mountain of the same name rising to the North from the Chewelah Valley.

Purple Flat Top Ltd. Architecture provides architectural services for project ranging from consulting, small remodels, developing construction details to addition/remodels, residential, and light commercial building design services.

Tom lives with his wife, Susan Bristol, on 200+ acres of land just outside of Chewelah. They have grown children who also love and appreciate the Chewelah area: Joey Bristol currently lives in Washington DC, Peter in Seattle, and Daphne at home in Chewelah.

Tom is one of the most active arts supporters in the Chewelah community, being current president of the Chewelah Arts Guild. He has been active in the City of Chewelah working as past chairman of the Chewelah Planning Commission and operates behind the scenes in many community ways and nearly all visual and performance events in Chewelah. He has worked for nearly 15 years for Chewelah to have its own performance and cultural arts center, and has most recently worked with Chewelah PACA (Performing Arts and Cultural Arts) spending countless hours creating sketches, designs, ideas, and working with all facets of the arts community to find and create a center that not only meets the needs of a wide range of groups and individuals, but will be an important community asset and attraction in every respect.
